High School Intersession

This week is the second week of high school intersession.  Please check with your child regarding meeting locations and transportation needs.

Community Conversations on Race and Equity

On Wednesday night, Gamble will host the third of 5 Community Conversations on Race and Equity. This student-led conversation started by looking at Gamble's own data related to race and discipline. Where does it go from there? Let's find out together from 6:30 to 8:30 Wednesday night. You don't have to have been at any other conversations to join us Wednesday night. Your voice should be heard, and your involvement is important.

Newport Aquarium

8th graders will be visiting the Newport Aquarium this week in conjunction with the marine biology study.  The LA and CoOL communities will be there on Monday, and the UL and ZC communities will go on Tuesday.  Please have your child bring a packed lunch.

Pigeon Key

8th graders going to Pigeon Key will go swimming at the YMCA on Friday.  Please have your child bring a swimsuit and towel.

Spring Break

School will be closed the week of 3/26 for spring break, and there will be no weekly update that Sunday. We hope you have a relaxing spring break filled with friends, family, and accomplishments in your hobbies and interests.

Help Beautify Our School

The PTO invites you to help beautify our school. Come out on Saturday April 7 from 9:00-11:00 am to pitch in with light cleaning inside and trash pickup outside. Our site visit for accreditation by the American Montessori Society is on April 9, and we want to look our best. We’ll provide bottled water, pizza, and snacks; you provide the elbow grease. Click here ( http://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080f4caeaf2ea46-gmhs1 ) to sign up, or email Laura Providenti at Lprovidenti@yahoo.com.

Senior Parents

Senior Parents Please notify the Counseling Office of college acceptances by providing copies of their college acceptance letters. We are also tracking scholarship information and will need some documentation of scholarship and other financial awards, even if the student is not planning to attend that college. Please encourage your son or daughter to bring their letters and financial awards to Mrs. Patterson in the Counseling Office as soon as possible.

This is also the time when seniors should be completing scholarship applications.  Many of the deadlines are in March. Seniors have been getting a Senior Newsletter with numerous summer programs, local and community scholarships as well as lists of scholarship websites. Please check with your son or daughter to see if they have completed applicable scholarship applications. If they need assistance, they should reach out to either, Ms. Rockett, our Ohio College Guide, or Mrs. Patterson, our school Counselor. The March Newsletter was attached to last week's bulletin.

As always, there are lots of ways to get involved at Gamble Montessori, where we make a commitment to learning every day, and we will see you there.
