No School on Monday, February 5th
A reminder that this week students don't have school on Monday. This is a professional development day that teachers earned by working after school in learning teams several other days this year. School resumes Tuesday.
Parents, select families are being contacted for student-led conferences this Wednesday and Thursday from 5:30 to 8:00. Generally our focus in third quarter is on students who are underperforming relative to their ability, to find solutions to prevent course failure. If contacted by the team, or if you have concerns of your own, please respond promptly to schedule your conference.
Incomplete Immunization Records
During a recent records review, we discovered several students whose immunization records are incomplete. These families have received separate notification. Please resolve these matters quickly, as students without full immunization records can be removed from school until immunizations occur.
Graduation Pictures for Seniors
The senior class, in coordination with the graduation committee, are putting together a video for end of year celebrations. Seniors and parents of seniors, please get a favorite baby picture to Jessica League in person or scan a copy to firstname.lastname@example.org .
Gamble families - it is flu season. This year looks to be one of the worst flu seasons on record, so your help is needed.
- A student who has a fever or who has thrown up or had diarrhea in the previous 24 hours should not be sent to school. This rule is in effect whether or not your child had a flu vaccine this year. Give us a call in the morning when your child will be out so we can mark it in PowerSchool. If your child sees the doctor, bring us a note to excuse the extended absence.
- Practice good hygiene - remind your student to wash hands for 20 seconds with soap and warm water, or to cover the mouth with the inside of the elbow when coughing or sneezing.
- Donate disinfectant wipes to your classroom teachers so we can clean shared tables and desks. We are utilizing our student employees to regularly wash doorknobs and railings.
Together we can help the Gamble community stay healthy.
Middle School Boys Basketball
Our middle school boys basketball team plays Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 for the league title or, as we call it, the Chompionship! If you can make it to Shroder, tip-off is at 4:30 and we'd love to hear your #ChompChomp.
As always, there are lots of ways to get involved at Gamble Montessori, where we make a commitment to learning every day, and we will see you there.
