I hope your summer has been restful. We are starting to gear up for a new year, and wanted to provide some important information.
Welcome New Gamble Families
For those of you who are new to Gamble Montessori, welcome! Please note that you will receive a weekly update from me each Sunday night at about 6:30pm. There is a phone call version of the message, and email version of the message, and it is pushed out through the CPS app on your phone, if you select to receive Gamble notifications. Additionally, messages are shared on our website, Facebook page, and on Twitter @Gamblemont. Sorry kids, no Instagram ... yet.
The first days are almost here. Please mark your calendar to join us for the following important events:
Final New Family Information Night Wednesday, August 2nd 6:00-8:00 (for families new to Gamble who have NOT attended an info night this summer.)

First day of school August 16th 8:45 - 3:45 (for all students)
Important Medical and Academic Forms
All parents: we will be sending home two mailers prior to the first day of school. The first will come the week of July 31st and include important forms needed for medical and academic purposes. The second, which will arrive the week of August 7th, will have your home room information, a.m. and p.m. bus route information, and other key back to school information.
The final announcement is for high school families only:
This is an important high school electives update. The forensic science class initially offered in your optioning sheets will not be available first semester. Students who had that as their first choice will be defaulted into their second choice elective. However, there is a new HS elective available that you may want to consider. The Practical Finances class will help students learn about the basics of banking, credit, using a checkbook, and dozens of other skills that many of us parents wish we'd learned in high school. If you are a high school student interested in this elective please call the main office by the end of the day August 4th. Our number is 363-2600. Or email that choice to Erin Wilson at email@example.com.
As always, there are lots of ways to get involved at Gamble Montessori, where we make a commitment to learning every day, and we will see you there!
